It's draft day! Before we get to our last preview Thursday morning, there is more minor league All-Star news. Pitchers Jacob Faria, Chih-Wei Hu and Chris Kirsch, infielders Willy Adames, Casey Gillaspie and Kean Wong, and outfielders Jake Bauers and Johnny Field will represent Montgomery in the Southern League All-Star Game. Field may have other obligations, but for everyone else, the game is hosted by Mississippi on June 21.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (27-34)

Durham had a late meltdown in a 6-2 loss to Norfolk. Its stagnant offense remained stagnant through 7 2/3 innings, but Jaff Decker's walk led to Richie Shaffer's two-run home run to give the Bulls a 2-1 lead. Adam Kolarek promptly hit the leadoff man in the ninth, and Dylan Floro was called on to put out the fire. Unfortunately, errors by Luke Maile and Daniel Robertson fueled a five-run inning to give the Tides a nice lead. That wasted a strong effort from Adam Wilk, who struck out 10 in seven innings, only allowing one run. Logan Forsythe singled, walked and stole a base in his first rehab appearance.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (29-30)

Jacob Faria was sharp, but he didn't get enough support in Montgomery's 14-inning, 3-2 loss to Biloxi. After allowing a first-inning run, he settled in, going seven innings just allowing that run on four hits and three walks with nine strikeouts. Mike Marjama's RBI double in the sixth gave the Biscuits a 2-1 lead, but the Shuckers tallied an unearned run off Ryne Stanek in the ninth and went on to win the game in the 14th against Brad Schreiber.

Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (30-29)

Benton Moss was solid in Charlotte's 4-3 win over Clearwater. RBI singles from Justin Williams and Bralin Jackson gave the Stone Crabs a quick 2-0 lead in the first, but the Threshers took the lead in the fourth when four straight singles to start the inning led to three runs. Moss settled in and allowed just those runs on six hits in seven innings with no walks. In the seventh, back-to-back doubles by Cristian Toribio and Riley Unroe returned the lead to the Stone Crabs.

Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (29-29)

Genesis Cabrera had a start to forget in Bowling Green's 4-2 loss to Fort Wayne. Although he was only charged with two runs -- one earned, -- he lasted just 3 1/3 innings due to six walks and no strikeouts. Just 39 of his 75 pitches were strikes. Yoel Espina struck out five in 2 2/3 innings of long relief, but the TinCaps tallied four off Armando Bastardo. The Hot Rods were unable to score after Zacrey Law's RBI single in the fourth tied the game at two.
