Chris Archer is 1-8 over his last nine decisions, with the lone victory coming back on June 6th in Arizona. Hopefully he'll be able to turn the page on his awful first half and regain his ace status as the Rays approach the dog days of August. Archer's last start came on the 8th in Boston where he allowed five runs on seven hits -- one homer -- while he walked two and struck out three en route to picking up his 12th loss of the season.
Yovani Gallardo Scouting Report:
Gallardo is looking to put a poor beginning to his Orioles behind him as he begins the second half for Baltimore. In one of his better outings this year, Gallardo allowed two runs on six hits over five innings pitched, as he walked four and struck out two but he wouldn't factor in the decision against the Angels back on July 9th.
