Verlander is having a bounce back year, sort of, after a down year last season. Heading into his previous start, Verlander had an ERA and FIP below four, but after yielding eight runs on nine hits --- four homers -- both of those stats ballooned into the four's. Verlander also walked two and struck five in just under five innings of work as he picked up his sixth loss of the season.
