Matt Moore was absolutely fantastic during his last start on the 19th as he continued his stellar trend. Since the Rays fell into this skid, Moore has easily been their best starting pitcher and with the exception of a few mistakes, he has been masterful. During the start, Moore allowed two runs on five hits -- one homer -- while he walked one and also struck out a hitter before exiting with one out in the eighth inning.
Sonny Gray Scouting Report:
Sonny Gray is averaging a Fangraphs GameScore of 47 this season, which is not very good for the former Cy Young contender. His last two times out weren't too bad, although he did struggle with his control a bit as he totaled eight walks between the two outings. His last start came on the 16th against the Twins where he allowed three runs on six hits -- one home run -- while he walked four and struck out two over six innings pitched, coming away with his first victory since April 22nd.
