Let’s get straight into the trade rumors.
Marc Topkin tells us where the smoke is regarding the Rays.
Tho most #Rays trade spec has been on #Rangers, #Dodgers, #Pirates, worth noting #Marlins had Sr. Advisor Orrin Freeman in Oak all weekend

Danny covered yesterday some of the pieces that could be involved in a Rangers trade, but it’s worth noting that Prince Fielder is definitively out.

That may throw a blanket on what the Rangers are willing to give up.
Now the most interesting trade rumor out there is not a Rays rumor at all. Joel Sherman of the New York Post says that the Dodgers would be willing to include top pitching prospect Julio Urias in a deal for Chris Sale.
Of course, anywhere that you see “Chris Sale,” you can go ahead and insert “Chris Archer” and see if the deal still flies. I don’t know. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t, but Topkin got quotes from Rays pitchers and talked about how they should be prepared to be traded, particularly to LA, where the Rays play next.
Jim Duquette of MLB.com suggested Miami as a landing place for Jake Odorizzi.
And finally, it definitely looks like Melvin Upton Jr. will be returning to the American League East, with the most likely spot being Toronto, and the Orioles waiting if that deal falls through.
