Poor Brandon McCarthy has been prone to injuries throughout his career, whether it be through freak incidents or just physical problems. McCarthy finally made his season debut in early July, but he left his latest start on the 22nd, but left the game early with a calf injury. While on the mound, he has been excellent though for L.A. and in the start he left, he pitched one out into the seventh inning allowing two runs --- one earned -- on one hit, while he walked three and struck out four.
