The last time Drew Smyly recorded a victory was on May 16th, over two and a half months ago. Wins and losses are virtually meaningless, but they do tell a story on how successful a team is whenever a pitcher takes the mound and what position he left the team in. He did pitch a lot better his last time out, but came away with a no decision as he allowed a run on six hits while he walked one and struck out over six innings pitched.
Nathan Eovaldi Scouting Report:
It's been a roller coaster year for Eovaldi as he had some tremendous ups and some mighty falls eventually leading to him losing his job in the starting rotation. However, he has since returned and has made starts the past two times through the Yankees rotation with his last outing coming on the 24th against the Giants where he allowed two runs on seven hits, while he walked two and struck out six before exiting with two outs in the seventh inning en route to his ninth victory of the season.
