TODAY'S STARTING PITCHERS:

Michael Pineda 5 9 5.00 3.86 27.6% 6.3% .264 .336 19 20 113.1 1.9
Blake Snell 2 4 3.05 3.11 20.7% 11.4% .240 .308 1 8 44.1 1.1

Blake Snell's last outing started out really rough as he gave up two first innings runs, but that's all he allowed as he continued to display his potential tying his major league high for innings pitched in a game as excited with two outs in the seventh inning. Snell allowed just those two runs, on seven hits, while he walked two and struck out four en route to a no-decision.

Michael Pineda Scouting Report:

Since the start of June, Pineda has been solid for the Yankees with a couple of blemishes. Over his last 10 starts, he has allowed an earned run or fewer in half of those. His last time out was on the 25th against Houston where he allowed a solo home run, five hits, while he walked two and struck out eight over seven innings pitched.
