Game 83 Preview: Tampa Bay Rays vs Los Angeles Angels

Another start, another five inning appearance for Jake Odorizzi as he again struggled to put hitters away as he pitched a solid game, but had to make an exhausted bullpen go to work. Odorizzi allowed two runs on three hits, walking three and striking out seven over those five innings against the Tigers, picking up a no-decision for the 11th time this season.

Tim Lincecum Scouting Report:

Back in the days of yesteryear. Tim Lincecum won two Cy Young awards, threw a no-hitter, and helped to lead the Giants to the postseason. Since those days, Lincecum's career has spiraled and he found himself out of a job once the 2015 season finished. He had plenty of suitors, but only on minor league deals and after several highly publicized showcases and training sessions, the Angels nabbed the former elite pitcher.

Lincecum has made three starts for Los Angeles so far, with his season debut going splendidly and his past two...not so much. Over his last two outings, Lincecum has totaled just over seven innings pitched combined, as he has allowed nine runs over that time. His last start came on the 28th against Houston where he allowed five runs on seven hits -- one home run -- while he walked four and struck out seven, leaving the game after one out in the fifth eventually picking up his 2nd loss of the season.
