• Alex Colome has been chosen to be the Rays all-star game representative, with Evan Longoria surprisingly being left out. However, Longoria still has a chance as he has been nominated for the Final Vote (which he won in 2008)

• Steven Souza usually always goes all out, but took a less than aggressive stroll towards first base on a soft fly ball to center field...that a fielding blunder caused to roll all the way to the wall resulting in a triple for Souza. He'd be removed from the game after the frame finished.
• Matt Stein has injury updates on several Rays on the disabled list, including Kevin Kiermaier who is targeting a return next week!
