TODAY'S STARTING PITCHERS:
The Rays had good Chris Archer for the second start in a row his last time out as he seemingly found his groove. His last start came on the 26th in Los Angeles against the Dodgers, where he allowed three runs -- one earned -- on four hits and for just the third time this season, he didn't walk anyone while he did strikeout eight over seven innings pitched, but however he still came away with his 14th loss of the season.
Danny Duffy Scouting Report:
Duffy has been very good this season, especially over the past month. Since June 27th, Duffy has made six starts, and is averaging seven innings pitched per each of those outings and his ERA/FIP are both at three or below. His last start came on the 27th against the Angels where he allowed three runs on seven hits while he walked two and struck out five over six innings pitched en route to a no decision.
