Jake Odorizzi continued his strong run as he extended his scoreless streak to 21.2 innings dating back to his start on July 17th against the Orioles. His last start came on the third against the Royals as he kept them scoreless for six innings, allowing just two hits, while he walked two and struck out six en route to his sixth victory and third in a row.
RA Dickey Scouting Report:
Dickey either has an excellent night on the mound or an awful one, at least as of late. Over his last six starts, he has had three outings in which he has pitched seven innings and given up two runs or less. While the other three has given up a total of 18 runs over just 15 innings pitched. His last time out was on the 2nd against the Astros where he allowed a run on six hits, while for the first time this year, he didn't walk a batter and recorded five strikeouts over seven innings pitched.
