Drew Smyly had one of his worst starts of the season his last time out, after having more than a week separation from his prior start, which was also horrendous. Over his last nine innings pitched, he has allowed a total of 10 runs on 14 hits, three home runs. His last start came on the seventh against the Orioles where he allowed five runs -- four earned -- on seven hits, one home run, while he walked three and struck out two before exiting with two outs in just the fourth inning.

It hasn't been the kind of year that many were hoping for from Marcus Stroman as he has just isn't carving up lineups like has in the past. It just seems that he is running out of gas as he is very strong the first times through the order, but just falls apart during the third time, especially in the home run department. His last start came on the 7th against the Yankees where he allowed two runs on seven hits, one home run, while he walked one and struck out eight over seven innings pitched.
