Matt Andriese had a nice rebound performance after two disastrous outings prior. On the 11th in New York, Andriese allowed a lone run on a solo homer, allowing a total of six hits, while he walked none and struck out two over five innings pitched earning his first win since June 15th.
Chris Tillman Scouting Report:
Since making his major league debut in 2009, only one pitcher has made more starts against the Rays than Tillman and that's CC Sabathia. When Tillman takes the mound tonight, it will be his 25th start against the Rays (he's already made four starts against them heading into tonight this season).
Tillman has been excellent this year with the exception of a few blemishes. He returned form a three week stint on the disabled list to delivered solid performance against the Tigers on the 11th as he allowed just one run on four hits, while he walked one and struck out four over six innings pitched.
