Alex Cobb hasn't pitched a major league game since September 28th, 2014, a span of over 700 days. He underwent Tommy John surgery during the early stages of the 2015 season after suffering the tear during spring training. He began his rehab assignment in early July, but suffered a setback due to mechanical issues. His last start came on August 27th where he allowed a run on five hits, while he walked none and struck out a batter over four innings pitched.
Marcus Stroman Scouting Report:
Stroman was supposed to be the ace of the Blue Jays staff this season, but he just can't get on sustained runs. He can put together terrific starts, but suffers dreadful ones shortly after. Since July 1st he has been pretty good having allowed just an earned run during six of his 10 starts. His last time out was one of the poor outings though as he allowed five runs on nine hits, while he walked one and struck out five over six innings pitched.
