Presumably after the Boston Red Sox get knocked out of the World Series by the Chicago Cubs, Ortiz will pack up his backpack, take one last long look at the gates of Fenway, and proceed on his slow march towards ESPN anchordom, alongside Pedro Martinez and his ilk.
