The Rays fired Shelton pretty surprisingly today. Why did they decide to wait until this point in a lost season to do it? Perhaps Shelton had to go back to his home planet. Maybe he was called away on a secret mission and needed to leave to keep the world safe. Maybe Tim Beckham found some incriminating evidence of Shelton and he left in order to "spend time with his family."

We will never know, probably.
