Kevin Padlo

Tampa Bay Rays prospects 3B Kevin Padlo, C David Rodriguez and OF Tommy Milone had themselves a night with the Brisbane Bandits in the Australian Baseball League. Going for the series sweep against the Perth Heat in a tight race for the playoffs, the young guys came through in clutch moments, as they have been for the entirety of the ABL season. The Brisbane Bandits twitter account was all over the action. Take a look:

As if that wasn’t enough, this is where it really starts getting good...

David Rodriguez ended his night 2-4, with a HR, BB, and 2 Ks. He now has a slash line of .433/.485/.700/1.185 in 66 PA, which would make him the best hitter in the league if he had sufficient PAs to qualify.

Kevin Padlo went 3-5, HR, 2Ks and now sits at .282/.372/.505/.877 over 117 PA in the ABL. He is currently 10th in OPS in the league out of 42 qualified hitters.

Tommy Milone went 1-3, 2B, BB, K to bring his slash to .232/.327/.394/.721.

With 5 games left in the regular season, the Brisbane Bandits are half a game behind in the race for the last playoff seed.
