The 2017 MLB winter meetings are underway, and thus far they’re off to a slow start.

So far, the off-season has been slow to develop with mega stars, Giancarlo Stanton and Shoehi Ohtani, clogged the market. But, with Stanton’s trade to the New York Yankees finally completed and Ohtani choosing the Los Angeles Angels, the market has started to move along.

(The New York Yankees have announced a 2pm press conference to introduce Giancarlo Stanton for the first time as a Yankee)

Early this morning, the main Tampa Bay Rays rumor swirling about, revolves around the 2017 MLB Saves leader, Alex Colome, with the St Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies said to be aggressively pursuing the All Star closer. Marc Topkin also says the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs are also interested.

The Rays are also going to be involved in numerous rumors involving several of their core pieces with Chris Archer’s name likely to come up. Evan Longoria is another name that will be popping up a in trade talks as well.

Other names that will likely be popping are infielder Brad Miller, outfielders Corey Dickerson and Steven Souza Jr, and perhaps the most likely to be traded, Jake Odorizzi.
