Day 2 of the Winter Meetings, and the rumors keep on coming!
Are the Rockies interested in Colome? Are teams really making serious pitches for Chris Archer and Evan Longoria? What’s the free food situation really like? That last one is a public question from me to Jared Ward.
- Also, make sure to follow @Jaredsward , to get all the latest info from the Winter Meetings from DRaysBay’s man on the beat!
- The Rays made a small move, adding a utility infielder (we do so love our utility infielders):

Wendle also has an option remaining, which is certainly useful for a team that utilizes a steady Durham shuttle of players up and down throughout the year.

- Kevin Cash had a press conference, and had an interesting quote about pitching philosophy that might indicate a shift towards a more progressive way of managing starters and bullpen.
- Marc Topkin had more on the Cash press conference.
- Another reliever is off the market, with Pat Neshek going back to Philadelphia on a 2 year $16-17 mil deal.
