Seven of the Rays 34 Spring Training games will be televised

MLB: Spring Training-Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Spring training has finally arrived after a long off-season in which the Rays have undergone a slight roster overhaul as they have brought several exciting additions to the team, with Wilson Ramos possible to return in late May and Colby Rasmus eager to make a good first impression with his new ball club.

Pitchers and catchers reported yesterday, however the first game will not take place until February 24 when the Rays travel to Fort Myers to take on the Twins. Unfortunately, this game will not be televised, but will be available via MLB.com audio.

The Rays will play 34 spring training games over the next seven weeks - some without Chris Archer, Alex Colome, Jose De Leon, and Jose Alvardo as they will be playing for their respective teams in the World Baseball Classic starting March 6.

Of those 34, seven are scheduled to be televised with six of them on Sun Sports. Additionally, ESPN will air the March 23 game vs. the Yankees. All seven of those games are scheduled to occur over a 2 1/2 week period beginning on March 7th.
