The Tampa Bay Rays will play their first game of the spring tomorrow night against the Minnesota Twins at 7:05 in Fort Myers. There won’t be a television broadcast, but Rays Radio on WDAE will cover the game.
Throwing the first pitch of the spring for the Rays tomorrow will be Austin Pruitt, who was added to the 40-man roster back in November and has an outside shot at making the 40-man roster.
Among the notable players heading to Fort Myers will be Corey Dickerson, Curt Casali, Luke Maile, Brad Miller, and Tim Beckham with the rest of the roster being major league hopefuls and prospects hoping to make their mark.
Miller will get the start at second base as he works to become comfortable playing every day there, while Casey Gillaspie, Tim Beckham, and Daniel Robertson rounding out the infield. Luke Maile is behind the plate with his competition, Curt Casali at DH.
In the outfield from left to right will be Corey Dickerson, Shane Peterson, and Johnny Field.
