The Rays lost another game yesterday as wins have been tough to come by since the calendar flipped to March.

Some Notables

  • Alex Cobb didn’t pitch badly, just had one of those days where nothing went his way. He painted the corner, but didn’t get the calls, and the hits against him were squibblers that snuck through the infield.
  • The rest of the Rays pitching staff had solid days as well, with the most impressive being Jake Faria who struck out three, recording a total of five outs.
  • The Rays offense was moot, Chris Sale was really, really good.

Today’s Game

The Rays are back in Port Charlotte this afternoon as they’ll take on the Toronto Blue Jays at 1pm with Fox Sports Sun airing their first actual Rays broadcast of the year.

Erasmo Ramirez is on the mound to kick things off, with Tommy Hunter, Xavier Cedeno, Dana Eveland, Danny Farquhar, David Carpenter, Ryan Garton, and Andrew Kittredge.

In the outfield from left to right will be Jake Bauers, Kevin Kiermaier, and Shane Peterson.

Evan Longoria is the third baseman, with Daniel Robertson at short, Brad Miller at second, and Logan Morrison rounds out the infield at first base. Luke Maile is behind the plate and Corey Dickerson is the DH.
