Tampa Bay Rays news and links: Rays Stadium search will continue

• Stu Sternberg said, in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times that the team’s top choices for a new stadium site are unavailable. That means that the stadium site search will continue past the previously cited August timeline.
• The Rays opening rotation is set. The opening day pitcher will be Chris Archer, followed by Jake Odorizzi, Alex Cobb, Blake Snell, and Matt Andriese. In more notes, Brad Boxberger will start the season on the DL, and will not throw for at least a week.
• And still from Marc Topkin, according to an unnamed source, the Rays are in pursuit of catcher Derek Norris, but are on the outside looking in.
