Tampa Bay Rays spring training game thirteen lineups against the Pittsburgh Pirates

Blake Snell makes his third appearance of the spring

The Tampa Bay Rays were winning last night, until they weren’t.

I didn’t get to listen to much of the game, but all I know is the Rays were winning 7-1, in the ninth, then Dana Eveland came in.

The Rays would lose, 9-7.

Some notables

  • Logan Morrison and Erasmo Ramirez made their spring debuts. Morrison was 0-3, while Erasmo threw just seven pitches over a perfect inning of work
  • Tim Beckham continued his hot spring as he went 2-3 with a double and a HR
  • Steven Souza blasted his first HR of the spring

Today’s Game

Today at 1pm in Port Charlotte, the Rays will be taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates with MLB.com providing an audio feed.

Blake Snell goes to the hill for the Rays with Tommy Hunter, David Carpenter, Kevin Gadea, Ryan Garton, and Justin Marks also scheduled to go.

Logan Morrison will start back-to-back games as he’ll leadoff and play DH. In the outfield from left to right will be Corey Dickerson, Kevin Kiermaier, and Tim Beckham will get another start in the outfield.

Luke Maile will be behind the plate, Patrick Leonard start at third with Brad Miller and Nick Franklin playing up the middle. Casey Gillaspie rounds out the infield at first base.
