Durham Bulls Unveil Tampa Bay Rays 20th Anniversary Uniforms

Bulls to wear Tampa Bay Rays inspired uniforms on Sunday home games

The Durham Bulls will officially begin their 20th season as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays organization tonight. To mark the occasion, later on the season, they’ll celebrate 20 years with the organization by wearing commemorative Tampa Bay Rays inspired jerseys and hats, as well as a patch on the right sleeve.

The Durham Bulls will be wearing these Rays inspired jerseys on every Sunday home game as they celebrate 20 years with the Rays.

When the Durham Bulls joined the Rays organization, they made the jump to Triple-A and over the years the team has won four Governor’s Cups and they also took home the Triple-A National Championship in 2009.

Before any of the Rays homegrown stars made it to the show, they all had stays in Durham with some of the top names including Evan Longoria, Carl Crawford, James Shields, David Price, Ben Zobrist, and many, many others.

For those of you interested, the new hats can be purchased online at this link.

Meanwhile, the jerseys will be auctioned off towards the latter part of the season online from August 25th to August 27th with all the proceeds going to charity.

The Durham Bulls will play their first game of the season tonight against the Gwinnett Braves at 7:05 pm EST.
