The Tampa Bay Rays were defeated for the fourth straight game last night as four run first inning was not enough from them losing to the Kansas City Royals in extra innings. Jose Alvarado impressed during his two innings of relief during the game. Diego Moreno making his Rays debut allowed the go-ahead homer in the top of the 12th.
Kevin Cash didn’t get see anything past the third inning however, after he was ejected for arguing a balk call that allowed a run to score. He sounded off on it following the game, obviously still flummoxed by the call.
