The standout performers on the farm were Jake Hager and Jesus Sanchez on the offensive side and Ryan Yarbrough, Travis Ott, and the Montgomery bullpen on the mound. Jesus Sanchez continues to rake hitting his sixth homer of the season as part of a .277/.326/.492 start to his first year in full season ball.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (24-14)
The Durham Bulls defeated the Charlotte Knights 9-2. The starting pitcher match up of Ryan Yarbrough and Carson Fulmer who were high school teammates at All Saints’ Academy in Winter Haven, FL. Yarbrough continued his good start to the season with six innings of two run ball. The Bulls got to Fulmer early and often putting up eight runs, seven earned, over 4.2 innings of work. The Bulls raced out to a 3-0 lead after a three run shot by Jake Hager in second inning. Hager had one of the best nights of his career with picking up six RBI with a homer and triple.
Mallex Smith received a two game suspension after being ejected from Tuesday’s game. Brent Honeywell was also ejected from the game, but did not receive a suspension.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (22-17)
The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Tennessee Smokies 3-2. The Biscuits started the scoring in the third inning after a lead-off double by Justin O’Conner. He would score on an RBI ground out by Riley Unroe. Michael Russell drove in the second run of the inning with a sacrifice fly to put the Biscuits up 2-0. After the Smokies tied the game in the bottom of the fifth, the Biscuit scored the winning run in the top of the sixth. Grant Kay hit a double with one out and scored on a Cade Gotta RBI single. Kyle Bird, Ian Gibaut, and Diego Castillo threw four shutout innings out of the pen to secure the victory.

Class A-Advanced Port Charlotte Stone Crabs (19-20)
The Port Charlotte Stone Crabs came up short in their come back efforts as they fell to the Dunedin Blue Jays 7-6. The Stone Crabs fell behind 5-0 after four. Peter Maris III put the Stone Crabs on the board with an RBI single in the fifth. Ryan Boldt added an RBI double in the sixth ahead of a two run homer by David Olmedo-Barrera to cut the Blue Jays lead to 5-4. Brandon Lowe capped off the scoring with a 2 RBI triple in the ninth. However their rally came up one run short of tying the game.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods thumped the West Michigan White Caps 10-1. The Hot Rods received 19 hits. The Hot Rods got on the board for a single run in the first behind singles by Miles Mastrobuoni, Jesus Sanchez, and Nathaniel Lowe. Emilio Gustave added a two run single in the fourth. Robbie Tenerowicz hit a three run homer to put the Hot Rods up 6-0 in the fifth. Jesus Sanchez hit his sixth homer of the season in the top of the eighth to put the Hot Rods up 9-1. Tenerowicz capped off the scoring with a RBI single in the ninth. Travis Ott put up another good outing. Ott went seven innings and allowed one unearned run. Ott struck out ten and walked three.
