Yesterday afternoon, the New York Yankees just narrowly avoided being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays. Corey Dickerson had another multi-hit game and Derek Norris blasted his 4th homer of the year for the Rays on the offensive side of things. Chris Archer racked up 12 strikeouts and worked into the 7th inning while the bullpen pitched over two scoreless innings, Ryne Stanek had his most impressive appearance of his major league career as well. However, the Rays still fell, 3-2.
The Rays have now won three straight series victories over the likes of the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, and now the Yankees. They now sit at .500 with a record of 23-23 in 4th place in the AL East, four and a half games behind the Yankees in the division.
- The Rays would have at least tied the game in the 6th inning if not for this incredible catch from Aaron Judge
