Rays DOTF 5/25: Bowling Green offense scored 13, Wood struck out 10

Hunter Wood struck out 10 and Jake Bauers continues hot May.

The offensive standouts for the day were Jake Bauers and your choice of Hot Rod batters. Hunter Wood struck out ten despite picking up the loss for Montgomery.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (29-15)

Four runs in the eighth lead the Durham Bulls to a 6-5 victory over the Rochester Red Wings. Ryan Yarbrough allowed four runs in six innings. Jake Bauers continued mashing the ball with two doubles. Shane Peterson capped off the four run eighth inning with a two run homer to give the Bulls the lead.

The Montgomery Biscuits were shutout 2-0 by the Chattanooga Lookouts. Hunter Wood allowed two runs in 7.2 innings while striking out ten. The Biscuits couldn’t get much going offensively, but Cade Gotta and Justin O’Conner had two hits each.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods score 10+ runs for the fourth time in their last seven home games in a 13-3 victory over the South Bend Cubs. The Hot Rods offense had 20 hits and 5 walks. All starters picked up at least one hit. Eleardo Cabrera hit a three run homer.
