Triple-A Durham Bulls (39-24)

Wilson Ramos hit his first home run in the organization, but it wasn't enough in Durham's 3-2 loss to Columbus. His solo shot in the first gave the Bulls the early 1-0 lead, but the Clippers responded with two off Yoel Espinal in the bottom of the first. Espinal's spot start was not particularly effective -- he walked seven and lasted just 2 1/3 innings. Michael McKenry's RBI single tied the game in the sixth, but Ryan Brett's inning-ending double play with the bases loaded prevented further damage. Jeff Ames hit a batter and was charged with the unearned winning run in the eighth.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (34-31)

Montgomery's 11th-inning comeback came up short in a 9-8 loss to Chattanooga. In the ninth, Riley Unroe tripled in the tying run with one out, but the Biscuits couldn't push him across to win the game then. After the Lookouts scored three off Tyler Brashears in the top half of the inning, the Biscuits loaded the bases with none out in their half of the inning. However, three straight groundouts could only plate two runs and ended the game. Justin O'Conner homered early in the game, and Hunter Wood struck out nine and allowed four runs in six innings.
