Strong offensive performances combined with strong starts by Brent Honeywell and Benton Moss led the AA and AAA teams to blowout victories. The other teams weren’t able to limit the damage enough for their bats to give them a chance.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (40-24)
The Durham Bulls crushed the Columbus Clippers 11-0. Brent Honeywell had his most productive start since being promoted to AAA. Honeywell went six scoreless framed allowing six singles. He struck out seven and didn’t issue a walk. Brad Boxberger was dominant in his first AAA rehab appearance. He faced three hitters and struck out all of them. The offense was plentiful for the Bulls. Johnny Field, Mike Marjama, and Shane Peterson hit homers. The prospects contributed with doubles by Willy Adames, Jake Bauers, Casey Gillaspie, and Kean Wong (2).

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (35-31)
The Montgomery Biscuits matched the Bulls offense in a 11-1 victory over the Mississippi Braves. The Biscuits didn’t really hit around the Braves pitching staff, but they did accumulate 12 walks. This gave them plenty of opportunities. Riley Unroe picked up four walks while batting ninth in the lineup. Justin Williams and Michael Russell hit doubles and Nathan Lukes added a triple. Benton Moss had a good start. Moss threw seven innings of one run baseball. He struck out seven and didn’t issue a walk.

Class A-Advanced Port Charlotte Stone Crabs (30-33)
In game one of a double header the Port Charlotte Stone Crabs fell 9-4 to the Fort Myers Miracle. The Stone Crabs collected ten hits. David Olmedo-Barrera led the effort with three hits and Thomas Milone’s double was the only extra base hit.
In game two the Stone Crabs lost to the Miracle 9-3. Travis Ott couldn’t find his control. He lasted only 1.2 innings and walked five on 62 pitches. The only standout offensive performance came from David Rodriguez who collected three hits including a double.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (30-35)
The Bowling Green Hot Rods were shut out 6-0 in game one of their double header against the West Michigan Whitecaps. Josh Lowe was the only batter to reach base safely twice for the Hot Rods with two singles. The team only combined for five singles and a walk.
Game two was similar to game one, but the Hot Rods did manage to get on the scoreboard in their 6-1 loss.

The DSL Rays 1 got pummeled 15-4 by the DSL Astros Blue. The Rays were down 15-0 before putting four runs on the board late in the game. Angel Nelo picked up three singles.

Short Season DSL Rays 2 (6-4)
The DSL Rays 2 lost 10-5 to the DSL Astros Orange. The Rays took a 5-4 lead after a four run top of the eighth. The majority of the damage in the top of the eighth came from a Freddvil Chevez three run homer. However the Rays bullpen couldn’t hold the lead allowing six runs in the bottom of the eighth.
