Justin O'Conner, Cade Gotta, Braxton Lee, Jose Mujica and Mike Franco will represent the Biscuits in the Southern League All-Star Game in Pensacola on June 20.
If you haven't voted in the May Player and Pitcher of the Month poll yet, check it out here. I think I'll leave voting open for one more day.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (36-21)
Reynaldo Lopez may have been the highly touted prospect in the matchup, but Yonny Chirinos emerged as the winner in Durham's 4-3 victory over Charlotte. Both starters went seven innings, and Chirinos outpitched the White Sox prospect, allowing just a run on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts. He got some early run support when Mallex Smith led off with a triple and scored on an error, and homers from Willy Adames and Patrick Leonard in the sixth extended the lead. With the Bulls leading 4-1 in the ninth, Chih-Wei Hu allowed a two-run home run, but Andrew Kittredge preserved the win by retiring all three batters he faced.

RHP Chih-Wei Hu: 1+ IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (33-25)
A four spot in the first helped Montgomery to a 9-3 win over Jacksonville. Justin Williams' RBI single opened the scoring, and he scored on Grant Kay's two-run double. Nick Ciuffo's RBI hit then scored Kay. Jose Mujica allowed a solo homer in the first but settled in and faced the minimum over the next four innings until he allowed a solo homer to start the sixth. He allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk in 6 2/3 innings with four strikeouts. Mac James hit his first home run of the season.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (27-29)
Slugging Peter Bourjos' solo home run wasn't enough in Charlotte's 6-1 loss to Clearwater. Wilson Ramos, continuing his rehab assignment as Charlotte's designated hitter, doubled and struck out in his four at-bats. After another rehabber, Jumbo Diaz, threw a scoreless first inning, Taylor Hawkins held the Threshers off the scoreboard for a couple innings before the game collapsed in the fourth. A two-run homer paced a four-run inning that put the Stone Crabs away for good.
OF Peter Bourjos: 1-for-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI

Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (27-29)
Bowling Green scored four runs in the first and didn't look back in its 8-2 win over South Bend. As usual, Jesus Sanchez was at the center of the action offensively. He singled in one of the runs in the first, and his two-run single in the seventh added insurance. Starter Adrian Navas walked four and allowed two runs in 5 1/3 innings, but Spencer Jones was sharp in relief, holding South Bend scoreless over the final 3 2/3 innings with four strikeouts.
