On Monday, I'll try and have the Player/Pitcher of the month surveys ready to go. I will be adding in short-season players even if the GCL team has hardly played.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (49-31)
It took 10 innings, but Mike Marjama finally broke the ice in Durham's 3-0 win over Norfolk. It looked like the Bulls would go scoreless in the 10th too, but Willy Adames extended the inning with a walk. After Jake Bauers also walked, Marjama's three-run home run decided the game. Ryne Stanek secured the game by striking out the side in the Tides' half of the inning. Ryan Yarbrough struck out four in seven scoreless innings, and Andrew Kittredge's two scoreless frames were the bridge between Yarbrough and Stanek.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (3-4)
Montgomery lost a late lead in its 5-4 loss to Pensacola in Game 1 of its doubleheader. Dalton Kelly tied the game with an RBI single in the sixth, and the Biscuits added two more runs later in the inning to go ahead. However, the Blue Wahoos struck back with three of their own in the bottom half of the inning, including getting a two-out, two-run go-ahead single. Edwin Fierro allowed two runs -- one earned -- in four innings with four strikeouts.
Tyler Goeddel burned his old team in the Biscuits' 9-4 loss in Game 2. Joe McCarthy led off the game with a double and then scored the first run of the game, but it was all downhill from there. In the third, Goeddel's two-run homer highlighted a four-run inning. The Blue Wahoos scored nine straight runs until the Biscuits tallied three in the ninth on doubles from Grant Kay and Justin O'Conner. Jose Mujica allowed seven runs -- six earned -- in 4 1/3 innings.
