Brendan McKay picked up his first two professional hits. Curt Casali led the Durham Bulls offense. Drew Strotman threw six no-hit innings for Hudson Valley.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (59-37)
The Durham Bulls took down the Indianapolis Indians 9-4. The Durham Bulls got on the board got on the board in the second inning with three singles and a walk to start the inning. In the third inning Curt Casali broke through with a bases loaded double to put the Bulls up 6-1. In the bottom of the fifth Casali hit a three run homer to extend the Bulls lead to 9-1. Yonny Chirinos put up his best start since being promoted to Durham. The sixth inning went sideways due to a Jake Hager error. Chirinos allowed four runs, one earned. He picked up eight strikeouts and only issued one walk. Casali did most of the damage picking up six RBIs. Jake Bauers hit two doubles. Willy Adames hit two singles and walked twice.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (51-45)
The Montgomery Biscuits fell to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 5-3. After falling behind 2-0 the Biscuits rallied to tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth. After a Nick Senzel homer put the Blue Wahoos up 5-2 the Biscuits attempted to come back in the bottom of the ninth. They only scored one and left a runner on second. Genesis Cabrera allowed two runs in five innings.

The Port Charlotte Stone Crabs blew a 6-1 lead in a 7-6 loss to the Tampa Yankees in 13 innings. The Stone Crabs put up a pair of three run innings in the fifth and sixth. Brandon Lowe’s two run double was the big hit. Eduar Lopez threw seven solid innings. Lopez allowed two runs.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (46-47)
The Bowling Green Hot Rods bats were quiet in a 4-1 loss to the Burlington Bees. The lone run for the Hot Rods came in the fourth inning. Garrett Whitley led off with a double ahead of a RBI single by Jesus Sanchez. Josh Lowe had a two hit game. J.D. Busfield held the Bees to one run in six innings.

The Hudson Valley Renegades cruised to a 7-1 victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters. Vidal Brujan got the Renegades on the board with a leadoff homer. In the first inning Brendan McKay picked up his first professional hit as part of a multi hit effort. Oscar Rojas’s two run single was the big hit in a three run sixth. Rafelin Lorenzo added a two run homer in the eighth for the Hot Rods. Drew Strotman threw six no-hit innings.

The Princeton Rays fell 9-7 to the Pulaski Yankees. The Rays fell behind 5-2 through three before surging back for five unanswered. The Yankees pulled ahead for good with a three run seventh. Devin Davis continued his hot start with his fifth homer of the season. Zach Rutherford hit his third homer.

Rookie DSL Rays 1 (10-28)
The DSL Rays 1 lost to the DSL Dodgers 1 5-1. Amador Arias drove in the sole run for the Rays 1 in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly. The Rays 1 pitchers combined to allow only four hits, but six walks and a hit batter did them in.

Rookie DSL Rays 2 (20-16)
The DSL Rays 2 defeated teh DSL Dodgers 2 7-3. The Rays 2 got single runs in three of the front four frames. A four run eighth capped off the scoring for the Rays 2. A two run double by Gioser Tejeda was the big hit of the inning.

Rookie GCL Rays (7-14)
The GCL Rays lost both games of a double header to the GCL Twins. In game one the Twins clustered all their offense in a four run second in a 4-2 win. The Rays put two on the board in the bottom of the fourth on a Vincent Byrd RBI double.
