This morning an article written by Lucas Duda was published at The Players’ Tribune, titled A Shout-Out to the 7 Line Army.
Duda discusses his feelings surrounding the time he found he was traded from the New York Mets to the Tampa Bay Rays, becoming a real New Yorker, and his thoughts on the WeFollowLucasDuda Instagram account.
Duda is now a member of the Tampa Bay Rays and is excited about his new opportunity.
What’s probably most exciting is the opportunity to potentially play in the playoffs in a few months. Once you’ve experienced that level of competition, you want so badly to get back.
He ends with his thoughts about the Instagram account that was started by Curtis Granderson. The Rays reached a deal to acquire the Instagram account the day after he was traded. Sergio Romo has taken lead in following Duda around the Rays clubhouse.
Lucas Duda is a big fan of dumplings. He’s currently a free agent looking for a new dumpling place in the Tampa Bay area, finishing the article with:
I just want to play baseball and maybe find a decent dumpling place in Tampa.
That’s basically it.
