Justin Williams stole the show with his three homer night, but he wasn’t the only top offensive prospects to have big nights at the plate. Willy Adames hit a double and homer while driving in four and Jake Bauers had a double as part of a two hit effort for Durham. Jesus Sanchez picked up two doubles for Bowling Green.
On the pitching side the Durham relievers were able to shutdown the Charlotte offense for five innings. Brock Burke settled down after a rough first inning for Port Charlotte.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (83-53)
The Durham Bulls held on for a 10-6 victory over the Charlotte Knights after an explosive start. The Bulls offense got things started with first innings RBI doubles by Willy Adames, Jake Bauers, and Shane Peterson. The offense continued to pile on the runs in the second inning with a three run shot by Adames. Through two innings the Bulls led 7-6. In the ninth inning Patrick Leonard hit a two run shot following a Bauers walk. Andrew Kittredge, Adam Kolarek, Ryne Stanek, and Diego Castillo combined to shutdown the Knights offense for five hitless innings.

The Montgomery Biscuits powered their way to a 8-4 victory over the Mobile BayBears. Justin Williams put on a show with three homers. Wiliams hit two run homers in the second, fourth, and seventh innings. Andrew Velazquez added a solo shot in the fourth. Jose Mujica allowed three runs in 5.2 innings while strikeout out four and walking four. Joe McCarthy had a multi-hit evening.

Class A-Advanced Port Charlotte Stone Crabs (68-63)
The Charlotte Stone Crabs defeated the Clearwater Threshers 6-4. Clearwater sprinted out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Stone Crabs offense responded with five runs in the bottom of the first. Lucius Fox got things started with a double. After two strikeouts, Kevin Padlo, Peter Maris II, and Thomas Milone walked ahead of a Nathaniel Lowe grand slam. In the fourth inning Milone started things off with another walk. Angel Moreno singled to put runners on the corners ahead of a David Rodriguez sac fly to cap off the scoring. Brock Burke settled down after a rough first inning. He ended up allowing four runs, three earned, in six innings.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods fell to the Dayton Dragons 9-8. The Hot Rods scatter eight runs without scoring more than two in any one inning. The Hot Rods got on the board with doubles by Rene Pinto and Jesus Sanchez in the second inning. In the fourth inning Adrian Rondon hit a RBI single ahead of a RBI double by Emilio Gustave. In the six inning Sanchez led off with his second double of the game. He came around to score on a wild pitch. Luis Rengifo hit a RBI double in the eighth. After stealing third base, Rengifo stole home on a double steal.

Class A Short Season Hudson Valley Renegades (40-28)
The Hudson Valley Renegades defeated the Tri-City ValleyCats 7-1. The Renegades sprinted out to a 6-0 lead through two innings. A walk, hit by pitch, and two singles led to four runs in the first. Rafelin Lorenzo came through with the big two RBI single. The second inning was started by singles by Bill Pujols, Bidal Brujan, Deion Tansel, and Carl Chester. Oscar Rojas lined into a unassisted double play by the first baseman to limit the damage to two runs. Alex Valverde and Garrett Fulenchek held the ValleyCats offense to one run and five hits.

Class A Short Season Princeton Rays (30-36)
The Princeton Rays cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Greenville Astros. Devin Davis kicked off the bottom of the second with a triple ahead of back-to-back homers by Trye Hair and Moises Gomez to give the Rays a 3-0 lead. In the fourth inning Bryce Brown and Michael Smith collected RBI singles. Zach Rutherford’s double in the sixth led to the Rays final run.

The GCL Rays lost 3-1 to the GCL Twins. Neither team was able to score in the front seven frames. The Twins took a 2-0 lead in the top of the eighth. The Rays answered with an RBI single by Jake Stone. Roberto Alvarez was thrown out at home. The Twins added a run in the top of the ninth. Jordyn Muffley walked and Jonathan Aranda singled to put the winning run in the batters box. Luis Leon struck out to end the threat.
