Rays prospects and minor leagues: Wong’s grand slam gives Durham another title

That’ll do it for the 2017 season. The Arizona Fall League begins in October, and I’d imagine some of the other offseason leagues start shortly after that.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (86-56)

Kean Wong’s grand slam erased a 3-1 deficit and gave Durham a 6-3 win over Memphis to claim the Triple-A championship. The Redbirds had a hard time with Wong all night in Scranton. The infielder had three hits and was a triple shy of the cycle. The Bulls used six pitchers including Brent Honeywell, who pitched the longest of the six. He was credited with the win thanks to 2 ²⁄₃ scoreless innings of relief. Ryan Yarbrough started and allowed two runs in 1 ¹⁄₃ innings.
