On Rays Radio this week, Neil Solondz and Senior VP Chaim Bloom talk about that agonizingly slow off-season, then Marc Topkin calls in to discuss the Hall of Fame voting with a candid take on his own thought process.
As always, This Week in Rays Baseball is required listening for any Rays fan, and as usual it features great prospect talk.
Speaking of prospects: Yesterday, Baseball America released their updated top 100 prospect list, and the Rays faired extremely well (with 6 total making the list). This continues the trend of laurels laid upon the Rays farm system.
Today, MLB Pipeline released their top-10 prospects at third base, and for the fifth time in six lists the Rays placed a prospect with Christian Arroyo fifth.
The last two categories (SS and OF) should land at least two more Rays with Willy Adames a certainty, and Jake Bauers a strong possibility, as he was not on the 1B list but considered the second highest ranked 1B on Baseball America’s top-100 (behind McKay).
And, finally, Keith Law’s Top-50 were released this morning with four Rays representatives:
15. Honeywell
20. Adames
28. McKay
34. Sanchez
More on that to come.

- Jeff Sullivan at Fangraphs has his compiled polling results for Team Ownership Rating.
- The off-season has been slow. Very slow. Jose Molina racing David Ortiz slow. But we did get a move yesterday, and of course it was the San Francisco Giants. This time, signing OF Austin Jackson to a 2 year deal.
- Speaking of that slow offseason, Emma Baccellieri of Deadspin thinks the MLBPA is failing its players.
- Dillon Gee might have the best line about this not so hot stove off-season:
Dillon Gee on MLB Network: "I appreciate you having me on, but I think it sums up the Hot Stove season that you have me on".
