Introduce yourself to the DRaysBay community!

We’re ready to bond over baseball, so say hello!

MLB: Spring Training-Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Baseball is back!

We’ve survived, and we’re here together on Opening Day, like little kids rising early on Christmas Morning, just itching to unwrap our gifts. We still have time before Chris Archer squares off against Chris Sale, and the baseball season officially gets underway. Let’s take that time to get to know each other a little.

A lot of you are no strangers to the comment section on DRB, and we’ve become familiar with some of the common names over the years. But I know there are quiet lurkers out there, those who just read the posts, or maybe chuckle along to the friendly disagreement threads, but don’t participate.

Now is the perfect time to jump in and say “hi.”

Tell us a little bit about yourselves, how long you’ve been here, what brought you to the Rays fandom, and what you do when you’re not watching baseball (I knit! Okay, honestly, I do that WHILE watching baseball)

About DRaysBay

Whether you’re new or a seasoned DRB veteran, the start of the season is a great time to refresh yourself on some things. For starters, take a second to read the rules and expectations of the site (basically: be nice and respectful of others, even when you don’t agree). If you have any further questions, you can reach out to Head Moderator John Ford.

DRB has a great staff on board and you can find out who we are and what we do at the masthead.

Think you’ve got writing chops and want to share your thoughts with our readers? The FanPosts section is for you. Every Friday we offer a FanPost prompt for inspiration, but you’re welcome to write about anything Rays related whenever you want.

Want to share your in-game opinions with others? There are Game Threads for every game, so jump into the comments!

We like to think of the contributors and commenters at DRB as a family, and with the season beginning, now is a good opportunity to say “hey” to your family members new and old. Let’s settle in together and get ready for the 162-game year ahead.
