Spring training games may not matter, but that doesn’t make it any less rewarding to see hot prospects hit insane home runs onto the Port Charlotte Sports Park roof.
Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Jake Bauers hit a home run during Tuesday’s game against the Boston Red Sox that had fans, writers, and his teammates all losing their minds with delight.

The ball ended up on the outfield roof, sending the team photographer, and PR guru on a wild hunt for their prize.

This isn’t even the first time Bauers has sent the team running after his dingers. Almost exactly a year ago, he pulled a similar stunt.

This is the stuff spring training dreams are made of: a prospect showing how great he could be, an exciting home run, and just fun baseball.
