The Rays are taking INF Brad Miller off the 10-day DL, and designated Brandon Snyder for assignment to make room on the 25 man roster.
The #Rays have activated Brad Miller from the DL and DFA Brandon Snyder

Brad Miller played 9 games for the Rays this season before going down with a groin injury. He was playing solid 1B defense, but slashed just .222/.300/.370 for a 90 wRC+. It does look like he may have been unlucky on some of the balls he put in play, with an above average 26% line drive rate that should have earned him a few more hits. If he continues putting the ball on a line, he will be a welcome addition to the Rays offense.
Brandon Snyder was called up on Tuesday when Matt Duffy went down with a hamstring injury. He played in just 2 games, both at 3B, and collected one hit, a pulled double to left field. The journeyman could very well end up back in the Rays system if he is not claimed off waivers from another team.
In the meantime, expect Daniel Robertson to continue getting looks at third base over the next week, as he has consistently been one of the best hitters on the team this season.
Of note: By the projection system Steamer, Brad Miller was anticipated to be the hottest hitting Ray this season.
