GDT: Onto the Tigers!

And also, I'd like your opinion about what kind of team you wish the Rays were.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Remember from 2011-2014 how the Detroit Tigers absolutely ran the show in the regular season, averaging around 91 wins each season? It's hard to believe that they never won a World Series during that time, but instead the Red Sox won one, and also came in last in the AL East twice.

These are the sort of things I'm thinking about after leaving Boston to head up to Detroit, to play two teams that were so similar in very different ways. They both achieved massive amounts of success, but very different kinds of success. Which is better: winning the World Series while being garbage half the time, or being consistently very good but never quite mastering the playoffs?

Flags fly forever, but they give out flags for division winners, too.
