Now that’s how you make a debut!
Willy Adames got the surprise (to us) call-up after Joey Wendle went on Paternity leave to welcome in his new baby boy. Well, it turns out the Rays fans at the Trop got to welcome Adames to the show tonight with his impressive first hit.
In case you were just focused on the sweet swing and the launch angle, that was Chris Sale surviving up that pitch. Chris Sale is a pretty, pretty, pretty good pitcher, and a tough guy to face making your major league debut.
Willy Adames is here, ladies and gents!
