The Tampa Bay Rays fell victim to yet, another one run loss last night.
Blake Snell pitched effectively, but two mistakes cost him as he allowed two home runs and four runs overall as the Yankees took home a 4-3 victory.
It was also another costly night on the base paths for the Rays as they had runners thrown out at third base and home in separate innings. Matt Duffy led off the game with a solo blast to left field, his third home run of the season. Wilson Ramos and Joey Wendle singled home the remaining runs for the Rays.
Vidal Nuno pitched three scoreless innings of relief for the Rays.
Tonight, Nate Eovaldi makes his return to New York as he’ll take on the Yankees. He will be opposed by Jonathan Loaisiga, who will be making his MLB debut.

Scouting Report
Jonathan Loaisiga will be making his major league debut tonight. The 23 year old righty was in Double-A for the Yankees, and made his stateside debut during the 2017 season, tallying 35 innings pitched across three levels for New York last season, finishing the year in Single-A.
He is a control specialist, as he hardly walks anyone. During his six starts in Double-A, he has walked three hitters over 25 innings pitched.
Kiley McDaniel ranked him 12th among the Yankees top prospects heading into the season and had this to say about his repertoire
Loaisiga sits 94-96, touching 98 mph along with an easy plus curveball and changeup that flashes average. His command also projects to average but his slight 5-foot-11 frame suggest a bullpen future where he can focus on his two plus offerings and get to the big leagues faster since he’s taking up a precious 40-man spot.
