The Rays could have a starter in the American League All-Star Game roster for the second year in a row as “The Buffalo” Wilson Ramos has emerged as the leading name in the online vote, ahead of the Yankees young star catcher Gary Sanchez.

No other Tampa Bay Rays make the list of position players, although it should be noted starter Blake Snell will stand a decent chance to make the roster as well.
As for Ramos, he has emerged in the top-catcher conversation after two strong months of hitting at the plate in April (142 wRC+) and May (130 wRC+). Among AL catchers with at least 150 PA, only two other players have a 100 wRC+ or better (Yan Gomez and John Hicks).
By fWAR, Ramos (0.9) is behind Sanchez (1.3) and Gomes (1.1).
