DOTF 7/18: Nathaniel Lowe hit his 19th homer. Brendan McKay returned from the DL.

Josh Lowe hit two doubles for Port Charlotte. Sam McWilliams threw 6.0 scoreless innings for Montgomery.

Brendan McKay returned to the Port Charlotte Stone Crabs lineup with a double. Wander Franco extended his hitting streak to 21 games. Nathaniel Lowe hit his ninth AA homer and 19th of the season. Chris Betts hit his sixth homer of the year.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (54-41)

The Durham Bulls fell to the Syracuse Chiefs 4-2. In the middle innings the Bulls fell behind 4-0. They scored single runs in the final two frames, but the rally fell short. Nick Ciuffo collected three hits and Willy Adames picked up two.

The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Mississippi Braves 6-2. The Biscuits rose to a 6-0 lead through the sixth inning and held on for the win. Nathaniel Lowe and Peter Maris hit homers. Nathan Lukes collected four singles. Sam McWilliams held the Braves offense scoreless for 6.0 innings.

The Port Charlotte Stone Crabs fell to the Tampa Tarpons 10-3. The Tarpons took a 7-0 lead that was too much to overcome through the first two frames. The Stone Crabs scored three runs in the sixth. Josh Lowe and Kevin Padlo picked up two hits a piece. Brendan McKay DH’d in his return to the Port Charlotte lineup with a double and two strikeouts in four plate appearances.
