It’s the post All-Star game prospect frenzy as Baseball America has released their mid-season update to their top 100 rankings, as well as their team-by-team top ten lists.
With that note, Baseball America released their Rays top ten list this morning.
- Willy Adames, SS - AAA
- Brent Honeywell, RHP - AAA (DL)
- Wander Franco, SS - R
- Jake Bauers, 1B - MLB
- Brendan McKay, LHP/1B - A+
- Jesus Sanchez, OF - A+
- Matthew Liberatore, LHP - GCL
- Ronaldo Hernandez, C - A-
- Vidal Brujan, 2B - A
- Shane McClanahan, LHP - (not assigned)
This list will soon change as a couple of the top prospects on the list — Jake Bauers and Willy Adames — will soon graduate as both young studs made their MLB debuts earlier this season.
The biggest riser on the list is 17 year old Wander Franco. He won’t turn 18 until March, but that didn’t stop Baseball America from ranking him as the third best prospect in a very stacked Rays farm system.
