DOTF 7/30: Benton Moss tosses a complete game

Nathaniel Lowe gets his 8th AA double and his 23rd of the year.

Benton Moss went the distance in a nine-inning complete game for the Montgomery Biscuits. Nathaniel Lowe picked up another extra base hit for Montgomery.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (60-46)

The Durham Bulls fell to the Gwinnett Stripers 7-6. The Stripers sprinted out to a 6-1 lead through three frames. The Bulls rallied to tie the game at six thanks to a five run sixth inning. In the seventh the Stripers put across the winning run. Kean Wong led the way offensively with three hits and three RBI. Micah Johnson picked up two doubles.

The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Jackson Generals 5-1. The Generals were teh first to plate a run and take a 1-0 lead. The Biscuits answered with five unanswered runs for the victory. Nathaniel Lowe, Jake Cronenworth, Dalton Kelly, and Peter Maris collected two hits a piece. Benton Moss went the full nine innings for the complete game. Moss allowed seven hits, only one double, and didn’t walk anybody while striking out six.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods defeated the Fort Wayne TinCaps 1-0. Vidal Brujan drove in the lone run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Devin Davis collected two hits and his double was the only extra base hit of the game. JD Busfield, Tyler Zombro, and Orlando Romero combined for the shutout. Zombro allowed the only two hits of the night.
