Austin Meadows hit three homers as the Durham Bulls clinched their second straight International League Southern Division title.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (75-58)

The Durham Bulls defeated the Charlotte Knights 9-4. With the win the Bulls clinched their second straight International League Southern Division title and 14th in their 21 years in the International League. The story of the night was Austin Meadows. Meadows hit three homers as part of a four hit night. Meadows has hit 10 homers since being traded to the Rays about a month ago. In the ninth Meadows was hit on a pitch that went near the head. The benches emptied and the Charlotte pitcher and manager were ejected. In the bottom of the frame Ian Gibaut hit a batter, but ended the game striking out Eloy Jimenez.
